Be honest with yourself. You want the latest and greatest when it comes to home appliances, but you likely cannot afford to have whatever those items actually are. You would be surprised, though, that many Cool Vacuums are within the price range of any average consumer, and installing a vacuum as an full blown appliance can add to the total resale value of your home or property.

People with allergies always need special accommodations, but a HEPA filter or other air cleaners rarely does the job on its own. Plus, how cool does a bulky white box look sitting in the middle of your living room? After all, this is about cool vacuums, not nerdy utilities that actually make people healthier. Plenty of vacuums have HEPA filters built in to take allergens out of the carpet.

If you want more than that from a vacuum, you will have to inevitably move beyond the standard push units we have come to expect in store displays. Central vacuum systems have become remarkably affordable within the last decade, and they also have a greater impact on allergen and dust reduction than their archaic predecessors. If you are worried about installation costs, it rarely exceeds one thousand dollars.

That number may strike you as a bit high, but fear not. You can actually install a central system yourself without hiring a contractor or working with the original manufacturer. Plenty of sellers provide detailed instructions and tutorials on the work involved with such an undertaking. Doing it by yourself can take a couple weeks, but save a couple thousand dollars.
